Protecting Your Personal Information By Neil Goldberg

Identity theft is a phenomenon that is growing in leaps and bounds according to law enforcement authorities. In fact, on both the state and federal level weve seen major increases in criminal penalties. We see this as positive move on the part of government, since identity theft can create havoc in a persons life, especially their financial affairs. With the right information, a malicious person can open credit accounts (and further damage your credit rating), bank accounts, rent an apartment or an automobile and much more. In doing so, they can commit various crimes that eventually are traced back to the victim of identity theft, creating great stress and undue suspicion not to mention hours of time and effort repairing the damage done. You can protect yourself by providing only the most basic information to outside entities, unless you are thoroughly familiar with them and their legitimacy. At TCCF we utilize a variety of methods to protect the essential information of our precious clientele. Incoming callers must provide clear and indisputable identifying information before critical information is released.
